A polycarbonate vanity case with compression straps inside and dual handles — on a listing whose expander bullet excludes the vanity, and whose title says 16 inches for a 14-inch case.
The summing up The lightest shell and the only interior compression on this shelf, on a listing that advertises a feature its own parenthesis excludes.
Polycarbonate is the right material for a case that is carried rather than packed: impact-resistant, scratch-resistant and lighter than ABS for the same stiffness, which is how a 14-inch case comes to 2.82 lb. The listing publishes that weight, and publishes the overall dimensions and the case dimensions separately — 11.2 by 14 by 7 in and 10.2 by 13.6 by 7 — which is more care than anything else on this shelf takes.
Inside, there are compression straps as well as a large zip pocket and organizer pockets. That is not the adjustable tray this hub’s buying tip asks for, and it is the only compression in this hub: a strap pulled over the contents holds bottles against the base, where a loose case lets them tip into the empty air above. The elasticated back straps are a system rather than an afterthought — they clip the case to a matching Glitzy suitcase, which is how a vanity actually travels.
Two things on the page do not describe this product. The title says 16 in, and nothing in the published dimensions is 16 in. And the second bullet advertises a “Zippered Expander section” giving up to 25 per cent more space, followed by the parenthesis “(excludes vanity)” — a feature carried over from the suitcase listing, which the bullet itself says the vanity does not have.

Not by its own dimensions. The product name reads "16″ Hardside Vanity Case" and the fifth bullet publishes overall dimensions of 11.2 by 14 by 7 inches, with the case itself at 10.2 by 13.6 by 7. Nothing on the page is 16 in. In luggage, a size in inches is often the family designation or a diagonal rather than a measured edge — and the bullet is the figure to pack against.
Describing a different product. The second bullet reads "Zippered Expander section: Provides up to 25% additional space (excludes vanity)", which is a feature of the Glitzy suitcases this case is designed to clip onto — and the parenthesis says outright that the vanity does not have it. It is a bullet carried across from the suitcase listing, and it is the clearest example on this shelf of a feature list describing a range rather than an item.
More than they look. A vanity case is mostly empty air above whatever is standing in it, and that is where bottles tip; a strap pulled down over the contents holds them against the base instead of letting them rattle. It is not the adjustable tray this hub’s buying tip asks for, and of the five cases in this hub it is the only compression of any kind.
