BAGSMART Large hanging toiletry bag
Hanging · wipeable interior
A large hanging toiletry bag with a wipeable interior lining and multiple compartments, built around a sturdy hanging hook.
A waterproof lining matters more than the bag's outer fabric · review
A dopp kit with a genuinely waterproof front pocket for wet items and a hidden snap behind the zips — on a listing typeset in mathematical bold Unicode.
The summing up The only bag in this hub with a pocket described as waterproof rather than water-resistant — and a page whose headings are not really letters.
This hub’s whole subject is what happens when a bottle leaks, and the distinction this listing draws is the right one. The bag’s material is “water-resistant”. The front pocket is “waterproof”, and it is there specifically to keep wet and dry items apart. Those are two different promises, made in two different sentences, and no other bag in this hub describes any part of itself as waterproof.
What that buys is a place for a wet razor, a used flannel or a damp toothbrush that does not share space with anything else. The rest is a well-arranged dopp kit: dual zips so it opens from either end, a hidden snap closure behind them that stops the zip snagging and holds the bag shut if a zip fails, elastic straps in the main compartment to keep bottles standing, and a rear pocket with its own band and zip pockets.
Two reservations. The main material’s water resistance is a property of the outside, and this hub’s buying tip warns that an absorbent interior lets a leak soak into everything packed alongside however water-resistant the exterior is — the lining is not described. And the bullet headings on this page are set in mathematical bold Unicode characters rather than letters, which looks like emphasis on a screen and reads as noise through a screen reader. There is no hook: this bag sits on a shelf rather than hanging from a rail.

The listing draws it clearly, and it is the distinction this hub is built on: "The front waterproof pocket can keep the wet/dry items separated." Waterproof, for that pocket; water-resistant, for the material of the bag. So a wet razor or a damp flannel goes in the front and stays there — and a bottle that leaks in the main compartment is contained by a water-resistant fabric, which is not the same promise. Of five bags in this hub this is the only one with a pocket described as waterproof.
Dopp kit, which is a different tool. A hanging bag unfolds and takes over a bathroom wall; a dopp kit stays closed, sits on a shelf and is packed flat. This one has no hook at all. Two of the four American bags on this shelf hang, and the choice is about the bathroom rather than the bag: with no counter space a dopp kit has nowhere to live.
Because it affects anyone reading the page with assistive software. The bullet headings — the words for large capacity, multi-functional design, separate compartment and so on — are written in mathematical bold Unicode characters rather than ordinary letters. They look like emphasis on screen and come out as gibberish through a screen reader, and the same defect appears on listings in other hubs on this site.
