EPICKA GaN Travel Adapter 70W

A GaN-based universal adapter rated for 70W, enough to charge a laptop as well as phones and other devices from the same unit.

  • 70W total output is enough to charge a laptop, not just phones
  • Five ports (three USB-C, two USB-A) charge several devices at once
  • Larger and heavier than a basic plug-only adapter
8.1/10

The 70W rating is the specification that separates this adapter from a basic phone-charging unit: it is genuinely capable of charging a laptop through USB-C power delivery, which most compact travel adapters are not rated to do, at the cost of a larger size to accommodate the higher-output electronics.

    Anker A9215 Nano travel adapter, 20 W

The one listing in this hub to state, in full, which grounded plugs its AC outlet cannot accept — Schuko, UK three-pin and earthed laptop chargers.

    EAN
    0194644216108
    • States its grounding limitation in full: the AC outlet does not support 3-prong grounded plugs, including EU Schuko, UK 3-pin, or grounded laptop chargers
    • Explains the reason — a 2-pin to 2-pin connection reduces the risk of electric shock — rather than hiding the limit
    • A two-pin AC outlet is a real limitation, not a feature: a grounded laptop charger cannot be used with it at all

Best for: Pocket size, with the grounding question answered before you buy

  • Ceptics universal travel adapter with five USB ports and its universal input socket

    Ceptics UP-11KU universal adapter, 45 W

One of two adapters in this hub to publish a fuse — 8 amps, with a replacement included — and the highest charging output on the shelf.

    Amazon reference
    B08112XB28
    EAN
    0850003235646
    • Publishes a fuse: an 8 amp fuse, with an extra one included — one of only two adapters in this hub to publish one at all
    • Lists the rest of the safety system: electric shock protection, a plug lock, and built-in safety shutters against short circuits
    • Says nothing about grounded three-pin support, which this hub's buying tip asks for before anything else

Best for: The safety specification this hub says to look for, with enough output for a laptop

  • LENCENT foldable Europe travel plug adapter with sockets on four sides

    LENCENT PA050USEU 8-in-1 Europe adapter

The cheapest adapter in this hub, turning one European socket into eight — and publishing its amperage, which almost nothing here does.

    Amazon reference

    EAN
    6974827492604
    • Publishes the electrical rating properly: 2,500 W at 250 V and 10 A — the current figure, which most listings here omit
    • Four AC outlets and four USB ports from a single Type C plug, with a four-sided design so bulky plugs do not block each other
    • Says nothing about grounded three-pin support, which is the first thing this shelf's buying tip asks for

Best for: A hotel room in Europe with one socket and four things to charge

  • JenKin clear PVC luggage protector fitted over a cabin suitcase

JenKin PVC luggage protector, 20 in

The only cover on this shelf that publishes three dimensions in inches, and the only one that tells you to measure the case without its wheels.

    Amazon reference
    B074137TDZ
    EAN
    0755082767043
    • Publishes three dimensions in inches — height 18.5 to 20.9, length 13 to 13.8, width 8.5 to 9.1 — rather than a case-size label
    • States that the height excludes the wheels, and that the packing dimension rather than the overall dimension is the one to match
    • The title claims to fit most cases from 20 to 30 in while the bullets describe one 20 in size

Best for: A case whose dimensions you have actually measured, where a size name would be a guess

  • Travelkin stretch suitcase cover showing its two top handle openings

Travelkin Stretch suitcase cover, 19–32 in

The least stretchy blend on this shelf, paired with the narrowest size bands — an internally consistent pair of choices, under a title that claims an approval that does not exist for covers.

    • Two separate top openings, one for the telescoping handle and one for the carry handle
    • The narrowest size bands on this shelf — 19–22, 23–26, 27–29, 30–32 in — which is the consistent choice for the least elastic blend here
    • The title sells the cover as "Tsa Approved" — that program recognizes locks, as the two locks published in this hub state in their own specifications, and not covers

Best for: A case whose telescoping handle and carry handle are set apart from each other

    • Its size chart skips 21 in — S covers 18 to 20, M starts at 22 — and every other chart on this shelf covers it

Best for: Abrasion rather than fit — a case that gets scuffed more than it gets measured
