MYCARBON Digital Luggage Scale

A digital hook scale that locks its reading once stable, avoiding the common problem of trying to read a display while a bag still swings.

  • Auto-lock display holds the reading once the bag stops swinging
  • Compact enough to pack permanently in a case's side pocket
  • Small hook-style scales can drift out of calibration over months of use
7.9/10

The auto-lock feature solves the single most common frustration with a hook-style scale: reading a number while a heavy case still swings on the hook. Periodically checking the scale against an item of known weight is still worth doing — small hook scales can drift by a kilogram or more over months without any visible sign of the fault.

ELECTRONS NS-30 scale with 2600 mAh power bank

A luggage scale with a phone charger and a torch inside it — and the only listing on this shelf that never says what attaches to the bag.

    0655364419083
    • A rechargeable 2,600 mAh power bank built into the scale, so a dead phone at a check-in desk has somewhere to go
    • An LED flashlight in the same body, which is the other thing you want in a dark hold-luggage queue
    • Publishes no graduation, no deviation and no tolerance — the first thing this hub compares — while the second bullet claims "the best accuratecy"

Best for: A single object instead of three, where a rough weight is enough

  • Flexzion digital luggage scale with hook and backlit display

    Flexzion D_SCALE_HAD digital luggage scale

The only scale on this shelf to publish a deviation rather than a graduation — on a listing that also calls itself TSA approved, which no scale can be.

    Amazon reference
    B018QH7NA8
    EAN
    0814870025588
    • Publishes a deviation — no more than 10 g (0.4 oz) — which is an accuracy claim rather than a display step
    • A tare function as well as a data lock, so a strap or a hook can be zeroed out
    • Claims to be a "luggage scale for suitcases TSA approved", which is meaningless — the TSA approves locks, not scales

Best for: Weighing to a known figure, where a stated deviation is worth more than a bright display
