Travelon Anti-theft packable backpack review
A packable anti-theft daypack that folds into its own pouch, aimed at travelers who want a second bag for day trips without permanently allocating suitcase space.
Travelon’s main advantage over the structured bags in this hub is that it is not meant to be a primary bag at all: folded into its own pouch, it takes up almost no space inside a suitcase until a day trip calls for a second bag, which the structured XD Design Bobby Hero or Pacsafe Go cannot match.
That packability comes from thinner fabric and fewer distinct security features than the structured alternatives, a reasonable trade for a bag meant as an occasional-use spare rather than a daily-carry primary pack.
What it does well, and where it fails
Strengths
Packs down into its own small pouch when not in use
Lowest confirmed price among the European anti-theft backpacks in this hub, though three American bags here undercut it
Lightweight enough to carry as a spare bag without adding meaningful weight
Compromises
Thinner fabric than the structured XD Design Bobby Hero
Fewer distinct security features than the Bobby Hero's lockable zips and hidden pocket

11 × 15 × 7.25 in · 15.8 L · 1 lb 12 oz · double cable strap · interior panels
The only bag here to name its security construction as a system and to say where the slash-resistant panels are — inside, rather than somewhere on the bag.
Best for: A 16-inch laptop and a frame-top opening, where the security is built in rather than bolted on
17.3 × 12.6 × 7.2 in · 15.6 in sleeve · hidden pocket · USB port
A well-organized laptop backpack with one hidden pocket, a USB port and a fifth word for strong fabric — tear-resistant, which is not a security claim.
Best for: Organization and a charging port, with a pocket for a passport
17.3 in sleeve + 9.7 in iPad slot · hidden back anti-theft pocket · 8 pockets
One of the two cheapest bags on this shelf, and the only American one here that says where its hidden pocket is — against the back, which is the placement this hub compares.
Best for: A large laptop and a pocket that sits against your spine, at one of the two lowest prices here
